Graduated from Government College University, Lahore, and Punjab University Law College in 2009, Mian Affan Asad Taj began his legal career as an apprentice under Mr. Farooq Amjad Meer, founding partner at Meer & Hasan – Attorneys at Law and a former member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.

In 2010, Mian Affan became a member of the Lahore Bar Association and was admitted to the Lahore High Court Bar Association in 2012. He founded his own law firm, Taj Legal, in 2020, with a dedication to establishing it as one of the premier law firms in Pakistan.

Mian Affan has a well-established practice in the courts of Pakistan, regularly appearing before the High Courts, appellate/trial courts, and various special tribunals across the country. He has had the unique honor of drafting two laws: the University of Central Punjab (Amendment) Act 2021 and the Lahore University of Biological and Applied Sciences Act 2023, both of which were tabled before the Punjab Assembly and subsequently enacted into law, under the able guidance of Mr. Moazzam Salim.

He also serves as a legal advisor to prominent organizations in various key sectors, including Media (Dunya TV, Punjab Group), Education (University of the Central Punjab, Step Schools), Technology (Zero Carbon, Tower Technologies), Real estate (Union Developers, Liberty Lands), Food (Punjab Agri, Fishkatech etc), Aviation (Liberty Air) and FinTech/Information Technology. His extensive experience and diverse expertise make him a valuable asset to these industries, providing strategic legal counsel and support.
